I designed De Chance Bar and Restaurant in Paris for Gabriel, a talented chef from Normandy with a passion for traditional cuisine and quality ingredients. The concept features dark green velvets, warm woodwork, and sleek tiles to create a soothing yet welcoming atmosphere. A soft golden glow enhances the space’s intimacy, blending casual comfort with refined elegance—reflecting both Gabriel’s roots and ambitions.
Located at 18 Rue des Fossés Saint-Jacques in Paris’s historic Latin Quarter, the site sits near the Sorbonne on the city’s Left Bank. Known for its academic legacy, café culture, and cobblestone streets, the area reflects a rich blend of history and modern vibrancy. Paris, divided into 20 arrondissements and split by the Seine, offers distinct neighborhoods like the Latin Quarter and Montmartre—making it an ideal setting for a concept rooted in tradition, elegance, and cultural depth.
Dark green velvets, warm wood works and sleek tiles in this restaurant-bar concept create a soothing, yet very welcoming ambience. The delicate golden glow provided by the lighting reinforces the intimacy of the place, as both a casual and an elegant venue. It is modern yet warm by design, so one feels comfortable even in a very elegant space.
